What's going on? A LOT!
Disability Film Challenge Awareness Week!
This week, I had the absolute joy of producing (in association with Whirligig Pictures & Adventure We Can) a brand-new short film for the Disability Film Challenge, starring local actors Rachel Handler, Kit Colbourn, Francis Pace-Nuez, Lorena Monagas, Twinkle Burke & Dean Temple with an all local Hudson Valley crew! It’s a wild sprint: we received the final creative criteria on April 1, filmed everything on April 2–3, and raced through post-production to submit before the deadline on Sunday evening before 9 PM. It’s been a whirlwind—and I couldn’t be prouder of what we created together.
Now, the next phase begins: the Awareness Campaign, happening April 12th–21st. During this week, the spotlight is on promoting our film far and wide—and we could really use your help!
On April 12th, I’ll be sharing our film’s YouTube and Facebook links. The views, likes, and comments on these videos directly count toward awards consideration, so every bit of engagement matters.
If you happen to have connections to podcasts, news outlets, or social media influencers who might be interested in highlighting our work, please reach out! I can send you a special Vimeo link to share with them for press or promo.

What: HUDSY Workshop: From 'Dreaming it up' to 'Getting it done'

Time: 1 - 4 pm
Where: Studio B, 721 Broadway, Studio B, Kingston, NY 12401 (at the end of the hallway on the first floor)
Director Lenny Bass and Producer Mikha Grumet have been married for 26 years, but this workshop is not about building a long-lasting marriage. Instead, it’s about the intersection of a creative vision for a film with the nuts and bolts of getting it done on schedule, and on budget.
